Max is a Bosc Monitor, he is about 12 months old, he was handed in to the rescue due to lack of space. Max so far has been happy to be handled, enjoys a good swim and is currently shedding which so far is going well, although a small amount of assistance was required to start the shed.
Max will not be ready for re homing for approx 3 weeks as i would like to keep him here monitor his feeding and behaviors before i find him an experienced home.
Max has the potential to grow to the 5ft mark so will only be re homed to someone who can show they have the space and right set up and experience for a Bosc. Home checks and routine follow up checks apply. There will be a set donation if you wish to re home Max. South West Reptile Rescue is a non profit organization and the donation is to cover costs incurred by animals in our care.

Little Max is settling in well, he is quite shy and prefers to be out of sight out of mind at the moment and he did not eat yesterday, i am quite sure this is due to new surroundings and change but i am quite sure he will be eating by the end f the week!
He is obviously feeling more settled because i could pick him up with no problem before but now he likes to have a little hiss at me but again with patience and more handling he will get used to it and be more accepting. However he does seem to like his chin being tickled or hiding up your t-shirt!
Will update when i have some more progress and will get some more pictures!.

**UPDATE** I just cant say enough good things about little Max. He is eating VERY well now, 3 rat pups or a chick (legs head removed) every other day, he loves boiled eggs, tuna and locus which he now chases to get ;D He is not showing any aggression when handling as long as you go in confident. WIll get some more pictures tomorrow as he is coming out of his hide alot more now and likes to spend lots of time swiming!!
